Susan A. Atwood, M.A.

Therapy

Susan A. AtwoodCurrently offering on-line counseling, I work with adults ranging from college-age to elders to help develop self-understanding and healing during times of loss, transition, anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties.

Together we cultivate perspectives and approaches that recognize patterns and personal gifts that lead to re-engaging fully and authentically with life. Using strengths-based approaches, I offer a safe and supportive environment in which clients become more confident and skillful in deepening their connection with themselves and with others.

My work is informed by therapeutic practices that honor the essential goodness within each of us including Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, body-centered psychotherapy, and nature-based perspectives. In addition, I am interested in helping clients negotiate their emotional challenges against the backdrops of climate change, COVID and social unrest.
